Behind the scenes
Hey, my fellow managers & devs at slide-show app companies. You may have noticed that I took great care not to market this as a replacement for your slide-show apps. Instead, I'm focussing on releasing a non-disruptive "video-exporting" app.
However, exporting videos is -say it with me- "not a good user experience". Yes, that's right. Generating hundreds of megabytes of content the ought to take up a few kilobytes, getting properties like screen resolutions written in stone... This is just not the way things were meant to be.
That's why my long term goal is that I'll just license my music notation patent to you guys for use in your own apps. I know you all write in your own languages, with your own preferred tool chains, so I can be as involved or as uninvolved as you like. Perhaps I can help you out with the logic of importing MusicXML files, because, wow, what a crazy file format!
Imagine users can just search for a song in SongSelect, and include a special music slide in their presentation. Or set an app-wide or presentation-wide setting for the distance/height ratio for their screen with no need to re-layout or re-export their song. Perhaps there are multiple synchronized video feeds on multiple screens. Maybe you could provide an enhanced 2nd screen experience on a stage monitor. There are all kinds of features y'all already build which would enhance this music notation, that require integration of this notation into your app, not just a video file import.
So, contact me and lets talk about the possibilities that are possible when the notation is integrated into the presentation app. There's really no need for me to be doing any of the work that I'm doing now... I'm just doing it to help demonstrate user demand to y'all (and to the worship musical retailers).
